Applying 18-6-12 Fertilizer to a Weak and Mossy Lawn
I have a 3/4 acre lawn with weak grass growth and moss. I applied sulphate of iron and will be scarifying mossy areas. Can I use general 18-6-12 fertilizer for the lawn? How much should I apply per square meter, and when can I spread new grass seed?
While it is beneficial to remove dead moss, it is not essential, especially over a large area. Over-sowing can be done about a month after sulphate of iron and a week or so after fertilizer. Apply no more than 30g per square meter, which is just over two bags on 3/4 acres or about 90kg over 3,000 square meters.
