Late-Season Lawn Feeding and Feeding Weak Beech Hedge

Is it too late to apply nitrogen on my lawn? Also, I have a green beech hedge that is 90% strong, but the 10% directly under a large tree is weak. Is there a feed that can help the 10% grow?

It is not advisable to apply straight nitrogen fertiliser late in the season as most of it will simply wash away. However, you can still benefit from applying autumn lawn fertiliser, which contains phosphorus and potash, as they are not leached out easily. The beech hedging that's under a large tree is suffering from competition for light, water, and nutrients. Although nutrients applied in spring can help, the hedge needs more light and moisture. You may consider removing some of the lower branches of the large tree to allow this.
