Will the roots of Prunus Cerasifera 'Nigra' be a problem for my house?

I planted a Prunus Cerasifera 'Nigra' about 4 to 5 meters away from the pathway of our house, which is approximately 5 to 6 meters away from the house itself. I have read that cherry trees often have aggressive roots, and I am wondering if this tree has the same issue. Is it safe to have this tree planted in close proximity to my house? Helga.

Tree roots rarely cause problems for houses. Although they might cause issues for garden walls or paving, they won't cause a problem for your house. This tree at this distance will not be a problem.
